Installation of Chevy Silverado Tonneau Covers:Prior to installation, unpack and inspect all parts and the LT Sport Tonneau Cover for signs of obvious damage. Step 1: Make sure the female hinge is pushed all the way forward before tightening. The first picture below, with the yellow arrows, shows how the lobe clamp sits in the stake pocket. In the second picture, using a 7/16" wrench tighten the bolt while ensuring the female hinge is pushed all the way forward. Step 2: One hole matches up with the rear stake pocket hole and is installed as above. The other hole has a lobe clamp that clamps right onto the rail itself. Make sure the draw down bracket is pushed all the way to the rear and then tighten the bolts. Step 3: Using another person to help you, insert the tonneau cover into the opening of the female hinges. If it doesn't quite fit, loosen the nuts on the 'male' hinges and spread them out to the appropriate width. Don't forget to re-tighten them! Step 4:
Step 5: Step 6: Adjust the height of the rear "strikes" so that the Stainless Steel rods snap into place. The strikes can be moved in order to center them onto the stainless steel rods, as shown by the yellow arrows. You can always adjust this later if it doesn't quite fit the first time....
When you've centered them, tighten all the bolts. Step 7: With the tailgate open, try opening and closing the tonneau cover. If the rods are not adjusted to the correct length, you may adjust them with an "Allen Wrench" (not provided).
Step 8: Please note, the above pictures show the optional carpeted liner. Back to the Chevy Silverado Tonneau Cover LT Sport Tonneau Covers - The aluminum truck bed covers Call us for more details |
